About Joshua

Joshua Dwain - Husband, dad, and life-long creative. Owner and operator of Joshua Dwain Photography along with my wife Anyeka. Rooted in Brooklyn, NY.

Our creative work is reflective of the rich color and Caribbean influence of the people and culture which surround us. As a portrait, wedding, and wedding creative spanning over 11 years and counting. Joshua & Anyeka continue to broaden their visual voice by being heavily influenced by documentary and editorial photography.

Most Influential Photographer:
Too many to name, I enjoy the work of so many. Gordon Parks and Cartier-Bresson
for the past. Too many present-day photographers to name.

Favorite Lens:
I love the 50mm lens for its versatility.

In your opinion, what is the most/least diverse field of photography?:
I can't say for certain, however, wedding photography is the most diverse playing field.


What do you consider the biggest hurdle for Black photographers today?
I'd have to say our biggest hurdle is Exposure. Within the black community and externally.
