EP 51 • Michael Noble Jr.
About Michael
I grew up in St.Louis, MO where I learned that photos move people in a way that no other medium can. I spent over five years interning across the country from small-town Iowa to Chicago, Illinois, to the biggest wire agency in the world in New York City. Over that time, I grew in life and visual experience and fell in love with seeing life through those many different lenses and perspectives. I now work in Tulsa, OK.

What do you consider the biggest hurdle for Black photographers today?
In photojournalism, I feel like it’s hard to escape the narrow view editors have on what black photographers can cover. We deserve to be hired for assignments across the spectrum not just in February or BLM marches. Black people aren’t stereotypes we are a spectrum of people full of different experiences.
