SHOW NOTES
Website: http://www.jacksonimages.com
Where are you based?: Arlington, VA
Camera Brand: Sony
Most Influential Photographer:
I know it's softball answer but Gordon Parks. He's the first black photographer who crossed into mainstream coverage and he did it with every obstacle you could think of put in his way. Plus he did more than photography- directing, music and writing.
Favorite Lens:
My favorite is the 35 mm because it's a great mid range lens that gives you depth and perspective. Ironically I haven't gotten one since switching over to Sony late last year.
In your opinion, what is the most/least diverse field of photography?:
I don't know the numbers but... I can count on one hand how many black photojournalists are working as full time staffers in the Washington, DC area.
